HeadRush Sportfishing offers year-round fully guided fishing trips on the Sacramento and San Joaquin Delta. We fish for King Salmon, Striped Bass, Largemouth, and Smallmouth Bass. We also drift live bait, troll with a variety of different lures, and use the best soft and hard baits on the market.
King Salmon are known to be very explosive, hard fighting, acrobatic, and excellent tasting fish. People from all over come to the Sacramento River in search for these highly prized fish. The daily bag limit is two per person.
Striped Bass fishing can get a bit addicting and is a major adrenaline rush. There are times where we have doubles, triples, and even quadruples on at once. Stripers are beautiful looking fish that taste amazing. The daily limit is two per person, and the fish must be 18 inches or bigger in length.
We have some of the best Largemouth and Smallmouth bass fishing in the world here in Northern California. The California Delta is known to have countless double digit Largemouth Bass. Smallmouth Bass do not get as big in size but make up for it in raw power. Smallmouth are some of the feistiest freshwater fish you will ever fight. The daily bag limit is 5 per person and must be bigger than 12 inches in length.
We bleed out all fish and put them on ice until they are ready to be filleted. At the end of our trip, I fillet all fish that were caught and bag them. You must have an ice chest with ice to bring your fillets home in.
